Applicants for the Mcdonnell Academy fellowship must first submit an application to an eligible WashU graduate program. Please review the list of eligible WashU doctoral or master’s degree programs.

Applicants from all countries and institutions are welcome to apply, whether you are a graduate of one of our esteemed partner universities or from other domestic and international institutions outside our partner network.

I am a graduate of a McDonnell Academy partner university

I am an international student who has spent most of my life outside the U.S. and have obtained or am pursuing a degree from a U.S. pr international institution outside of the McDonnell Academy partner network.

I am a U.S. citizen who has spent most of my life in the U.S. and have obtained or am pursuing a degree from a U.S. or international institution outside of the McDonnell Academy partner network.

To be eligible, you must have earned or plan to earn a bachelor’s degree or higher before the start of the Fall 2025 academic year.
