Exploring the health-environment connection with Dr. Myers

The McDonnell Academy hosted an insightful S.T. As part of the Lunch with a Leader initiative, Dr. Myers met with McDonnell Scholars for an engaging discussion over lunch. This program provides students the opportunity to dine with distinguished leaders from the McDonnell Academy’s partner network, fostering relationship management, networking, and interpersonal skills essential for future leaders and professionals.

Earlier in the day, Dr. Myers also participated in a roundtable discussion with faculty on the medical campus as part of Environmental Research and Creativity Week. This weeklong series of events highlights exciting environmental work throughout the WashU community, shares innovative knowledge, and fosters collaboration between faculty, students, staff, and partners.

The event was moderated by Professor Lora Iannotti, whose guidance helped steer a meaningful and engaging conversation. Following the lecture, guests connected over a welcoming reception, exchanging ideas and expanding their networks.

The McDonnell Academy, WashU and St. Louis community look forward to continuing the conversation! Stay tuned for future lectures and opportunities.
