Roumy Theunissen

I support the vice provost for graduate education and international affairs by providing strategic counsel and programmatic support on key WashU international priorities and partnerships. I oversee seed grants initiatives that foster collaborative research, facilitate international programs-related data collection and assessment, provide support for university events that advance discussions of world affairs on campus and continuous guidance on new resources to support global work.

Prior to joining WashU, I worked at Harvard University where I managed core programs at the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies. Before that, I conducted research on issues with a nexus of technology and international affairs at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. I am passionate about international affairs and public policy and fostering collaboration across disciplines and cultures. I enjoy bringing people together to build partnerships in national and international settings, research, outreach and communications. I earned a Masters in International Relations from the University of Cambridge and my undergraduate degree in Government from Harvard. Originally from Bulgaria, I have also lived in Belgium and the UK.
