Michael started his career as a social worker in Singapore. Later, his vision led him to venture to Vietnam, working as a social work consultant with both international and local NGOs and the Vietnamese government. After graduating with a master’s degree in social work at Washington University in St. Louis, he returned to Vietnam and started a social enterprise called Tea Talk. His passion and contribution to the community had him featured in the documentary, “Find Me A Singaporean” and in 2015, was awarded the Outstanding Singaporean Award by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations. Michael is married to Jacqueline and they have a daughter who is currently a master’s degree in occupational therapy candidate at Wash U.
