Marisol Londoño Castaño is a Bioethicist and project manager in clinical trial and research on neurodegenerative diseases and brain health, with a particular focus on Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Her PhD’s research aims to provide a framework for neuro rights, ethics, and legal protection to families with Alzheimer’s disease. Marisol is a professor of bioethics in research at the University of Antioquia School of Medicine. Since 2013, she has been part of the Antioquia Neurosciences Group of the University of Antioquia (GNA) as Coordinator of the Health Research Project Unit, where she has established several collaborations to develop novel programs and facilitate the growth of Neuroethics in Latin America. Marisol is currently leading a novel genetic counseling program tailored to familial Alzheimer’s disease.
