Dr. Leyao Wang, PhD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Allergy and Immunology at Washington University School of Medicine. Her research focuses on how the human microbiome is shaped and influenced in the context of climate change on a global scale and how these microbial alterations affect the risks of severe respiratory infections and asthma in different geographical regions. Dr. Wang’s lab uses both population-based studies as well as molecular and developmental experiments to achieve their research goals.
