Clarice Hong

Lee Foundation Fellow
Division of Biology & Biomedical Sciences: Molecular Genetics & Genomics (PhD)

Clarice is a graduate student in Barak Cohen’s lab under the Molecular Genetics and Genomics program. She received her BSc from the National University of Singapore in 2015. Her current research focuses on how information from different types of DNA sequences are integrated to regulate gene expression in mammalian cells.

Clarice enjoys writing about science and is a contributor to PreLights, which coordinates and publishes highlights of preprints for the greater scientific community. After graduation, she intends to continue her work studying basic mechanisms of gene regulation and hopefully start her own lab someday.

Clarice spends her time outside lab cooking lots of food from home and reading books.
