Ceren Acartürk is an Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology at Koc University and Executive Council Member of Migration Research Center Koc University. Her work focuses on refugee mental health, social determinants of mental health and evaluation of psychological interventions for mental health problems following trauma and adversities. Her research aims to contribute to the increase of the implementation of effective and scalable preventive psychological interventions for vulnerable populations. Acartürk conducted one of the first randomized controlled trials of EMDR for Syrian refugees in refugee camp settings and has several other projects focused on scalable evidence based mental health interventions for refugees.
