Firat is originally from Turkey. An electrical & electronics engineer by training, he began his career at BAE Systems, one of the largest defense contractors in the world. After spending four years there and getting his master’s degree in industrial engineering from Middle East Technical University, Firat moved to the United States to pursue an MBA degree. He joined Emerson Electric five and a half years ago as part of the MBA Leadership Program. Aspiring to be a well-rounded business leader one day, he has served within four different functions to better understand how a complex Fortune 500 organization operates on a daily basis. Currently, he is a Sr. Strategic Marketing Manager at Emerson’s Cold Chain business.
