Ekua has a bachelor’s degree in political science and Spanish from the University of Ghana. She was also an Erasmus Mundus scholar with a joint master’s degree in European culture, politics, and society in a global context from the University of Deusto (Spain) and Uppsala University (Sweden). She was also a Learn Africa Fellow through the Mujeres por África Foundation with a master´s degree in protocol management and events design from the Camilo José Cela University (Spain).
In her free time, Ekua volunteers with the Spanish think-and-do tank Puerta de África as a Program Coordinator for the Ayoka Fellowship. She hopes to pursue an academic career in Spanish-centered studies while supporting the development of Africa-Europe related projects and programs.
