Puneet received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan in 2021. At Michigan, Puneet worked in the Rogel Cancer Center studying esophageal cancer and helping to develop new screening assays for cancer onset. Puneet will be joining the PhD program in Energy, Environmental, and Chemical Engineering at WashU. Puneet’s current research interests lie in the engineering of bacteria for biotherapeutic use, helping provide cost-efficient medical products to address health disparities around the world. In his free time, Puneet loves volunteering and teaches children’s dance classes with Raakhe Virse De Cultural Academy. Additionally, his passion for biotechnology has led him to join BALSA, a non-profit consultancy based in St. Louis that aids local biotechnology companies in their development.
