Transportation and Parking

Lambert-St. Louis International Airport is the closest and largest airport servicing the St. Louis area. Transportation to depart from and return to the airport is easily accessible and readily available daily.

By Car

Uber and Lyft rideshare services are widely used throughout the St. Louis area. Taxis are regularly available and on stand-by at St. Louis-Lambert airport outside the baggage claim area and the main entrance of the Chase Park Plaza Hotel. Two local taxi companies can be contacted via phone, in advance. County Cab can be reached at 01-314-991-5300. Laclede Cab can be reached at 01-314-652-3456. Rideshare and taxi services are recommended for airport transfers.

Public Transit

Metro Transit operates the MetroLink and MetroBus systems. Both service the St. Louis-Lambert International Airport, Washington University’s Danforth and Medical School campuses, and the Central West End area where the Chase Park Plaza Hotel is located.

October 5th & 6th

Transportation will be provided between the hotel and Washington University’s Danforth Campus on October 5th and 6th to attend Symposium sessions and events.

October 7th

Given the proximity of the hotel and Washington University’s Medical School Campus, limited transportation will be available between the hotel and the Eric P. Newman Education Center. Weather permitting, hotel guests can walk to/from the venue (4 blocks, 10-15 minutes).

Round-trip shuttles will be available from the Chase Park Plaza Hotel to attend the gala event at the Gateway Arch.

October 5th

A round-trip shuttle will operate from the Danforth Campus to the Chase Park Plaza Hotel on October 5th to transport participants to the welcome reception.

October 7th

No transportation will be provided from the Danforth Campus to the Eric P. Newman Education Center for Symposium sessions and workshops. Participants are encouraged to use the MetroLink. Complimentary parking is available in the Metro Garage located nearby. Directions and parking information for the Medical School Campus can be found below.

Round-trip shuttles will be available from the Danforth Campus to attend the gala event at the Gateway Arch. Directions and parking information for the Gateway Arch can be found below.

Parking for visitors is available in the East End Garage located underground immediately east of Hillman Hall (number 55 on the Danforth Campus interactive map below.) The garage entrances are located at the intersection of Forsyth and Wrighton Way (south entrance) and Forest Park Parkway and Hoyt (north entrance). The garage offers paid parking; however, as a Symposium attendee, you will be provided with a complimentary parking voucher.

• Designated visitor spaces are available on the first level, P1, of the East End Garage. The availability of parking spaces is limited. Tickets are distributed upon entrance. Keep the ticket in your vehicle.
• Vouchers to cover the full cost of parking are available at the Symposium registration desk. Upon exiting the garage, visitors will need to insert/scan the pulled parking ticket in the exit station first, and then insert/scan the parking voucher to activate the gate arms to open.

Complimentary valet parking will be available to guests of the Symposium reception at the main driveway and entrance to the hotel located on Kingshighway.

Complimentary parking for visitors to the Eric P. Newman Education Center (EPNEC) is available in nearby parking garages. More details about parking at the EPNEC will be provided soon.
