APPLICATION DECISIONS & STATUS

Decisions are typically made by the end of March and no later than mid-April. We appreciate your patience during this period, as some programs will evaluate through April. 

Due the volume of applications we receive each year, we are unable to respond inquiries about your application status. You will be notified via email of any status updates and the status of your application will be shared on your Status Page in the WashU Graduate Admissions Portal.

LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION NOTICE

Recommender did not receive request email?

Upon submission, an email including a link to upload the letter is sent to your recommender. Before inquiring about the status of your recommendation:

  • Instruct your recommender to check junk/spam folders.
  • Ensure you have provided the correct email address for your recommender.

Letter of Recommendation Deadline

The letter of recommendation deadline is February 14, 2024 at 11:59 PM US Eastern Time. Please ensure your recommender uploads the letter by this date.

  • The McDonnell Academy application is accessible only to applicants who have submitted a Washington University in St. Louis graduate degree program application.
  • The McDonnell Academy is a fellowship program that does not offer degrees and cannot answer questions related to degree program availability, eligibility, or applying to a degree program.
  • If your question is specifically related to McDonnell Academy eligibility and you intend to apply to a degree program by the program application deadline for Fall 2024 enrollment, you may send your message using the space below.
